ABOUT THE ARTIST

Raised by the beach, Christchurch-based artist Jade Sintes finds endless inspiration in her coastal surroundings.

"I work with a variety of mediums, from inks to oils and everything in between, blending local beach landscapes with iconic Kiwi symbols."

Jade began drawing at a very young age and pursued fine art and graphic design in secondary school, where her love for painting flourished.

At university, she followed her passion for creativity, earning a degree in Marketing. For the past decade, she has worked at a creative agency in Christchurch, working closely with the clients and graphic design team to execute brand campaigns.

In her free time, Jade enjoys exploring local hills, walking her dog on the beach, surfing at her favorite beaches. Or venturing up into the beautiful mountain backdrop Canterbury has on offer. "I feel incredibly fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world - there's no better place for a landscape artist to be based."
